We can spice up our Thanksgiving table with the pumpkins, or DIY some Thanksgiving centerpieces made from pumpkins, like the one in the pic.

It's really a super-easy centerpiece idea with any container, filler, décor items and candles we have on hand. Try to add some natural resources such as branches, leaves, etc to the pumpkin and light it up with candles. We can also try to paint the exteriors in beautiful autumn colors.

DIY Pumpkin Paper

If you have no pumpkins after the Halloween, for a budget holiday, try some DIYs to make a pumpkin via paper. For example, find out an old book and use the strips of the book page to make a pumpkin. Try to add some neutral-toned rusticity or pair the pumpkin with colorful details.

Thanksgiving Lights to Lighten the Mood

Thanksgiving is not just about a holiday meal. We need to relax and feel the happiness of that special day. Take a load off and set up the holiday atmosphere in advance via the mason jars or other holiday lights for a relaxed mood. We can DIY the mason jars with leaves stuck to them or we can bring home some tree branches and light it up with some LED string lights for a warm glow.

Thankful Tree

A tree in a room seems to bring more natural feel and that is very interesting and goes well with the autumn theme. We do not have to take a real big tree home. Just get some tree branches and put them into a bottle. Add some paper-made heart-shaped leaves and call it thankful tree.

Grateful Branch

It is really interesting to do some major brainstorming for holiday decoration. This is a very great idea that incorporates gratitude, family, and a seriously cool art installation. Write some wishes or names and hang them from a branch like this, or the ceiling or light fixtures at different levels. Each year we sit around the table and say what we are grateful for, so this year write them down, too on the grateful branch.

Tree Light

Take out the Christmas light tree out that you used in last Christmas season. The Christmas tree light is not just for Christmas actually. Illuminate the tree and create a warm glow.

Decorate With Fall Foliage

Rose is most often about love. Though it is not Valentine, we can still prepare the rose that can give out warm glow - LED rose light. The branch light has 12 LED frosted acrylic rose and is very great to be used on table or decorate the fireplace for creating a romantic and luxurious feeling. Not real rose, the branch light can last a long time and we can use it till the Christmas season. Bring it to the bedroom for glow and romance.

Mason Jar Candle

DIY a mason jar candle holder. Add some autumn leaves like maple into it as if we bring the autumn into the jar and light it on the special day for a vibrant color and warmth.

Invite Nature Home

Get some pine cones or branches home and add some LED mini lights to light them. The twinkling branches just help us invite nature home for the special holiday.

How Will You Decorate Your Home During 2014 Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just coming. It is a perfect time of the year when friends and family members gather to express thanks and celebrate the holiday joyfully together. It is also an occasion to enliven the happiness and spirit of the whole family and make the home feel welcome and warm by special decoration. Home decoration for thanksgiving does not have to be expensive. All we need is a little creativity and fresh ornaments. Then how will you decorate your home for the coming holiday?

Decorate the front door for better welcoming guest

Greet our guests immediately when they step into our door. Try to make the front door special, by leaving our guests an impression of warmth. We don’t have to buy a wreath. Instead, we can try to use the colors and resources from the nature, such as fall leaves, pine cones, hay and such organic things  that speak of the autumn, which can be found in the back yard. Shape them into a wreath or just DIY them in a creative way to welcome our visitors. This can set a mood for a unique Thanksgiving and just give out a bucolic feel before the visitors walk into our house.

Accent the front porch

The front porch decor shall not end with Halloween. The front porch is one of those things that should be decorated for Thanksgiving. Decorate the front porch with gourds, pumpkins, fallen leaves or things that is about autumn harvest. Decorate the twine with some seasonal flowers or in whatever way as long as they make a difference and add beautiful color next to your front door!

Add special glow to Thanksgiving holiday

Why not add a little flair to this Thanksgiving holiday. Decorative lights can be used to embellish the other decorations or glassware during the holiday. The lights can also be used to create warm atmosphere for the special day. Of course, if we have any idea of breaking out the Christmas lights early, we can decorate our home with holiday lights. DIY some lighting with the string lights and other resources that go well with the autumn theme or bring home a Christmas tree light which can be used to illuminate the house, garden or front yard till the Christmas season. We can also add candles, outdoor luminaries or decorative lights that give out soft light to signify the holiday season.

Bring natural outdoor touches indoor

Thanksgiving holiday falls still in autumn. We can try to make best use of the seasonal resources as the decoration. Use some tree branches around the fireplace and nestle the tree branches with  miniature pumpkins, leaves or even add some lights to the withered branches which may just liven up the branches and create outdoor touches. Or use the tree branches to make a garland, which may look great around the stair railings. Choose the flowers, pumpkins, pine cones and other natural resources as additions on the table.
