DIY Decorative String Lights for Home Decor

We often associate string lights with Christmas or especially holidays in winter. LED string lights seem bring us warmth besides the basic decoration. Have you ever thought about using the string lights as decoration in the rooms, in the garden or at some parties? It will be totally different if we use decorative string lights in May or September.

Maybe most of you will accent your Christmas tree with a lot of string lights during Christmas Day. Just take them out and wind the copper wire with LED string lights around the trees in your garden to lighten up the dark night and make the whole garden vivid. Easy! 

Fill Bottle with LED Lights
There must be a lot of wine bottles at your home. Never throw them away. Reuse them in a creative way. You may be amazed by the warm and cozy atmosphere oozing from the bottle filled with led lights. That’s also easy. Just prepare some string lights and recycled wine bottle. It will instantly give you mood lighting. If you love the pub atmosphere yet do not have any interest in too much drink, this DIY will sound great. 

DIY Cloud Lights
It is really amazing scene to see the floating cloud lights hung in the rooms, reception hall or even at a ceremony. If you find your room monotonous in decoration, this lighting scheme is not a bad option. It’s super easy to realize this. What you need to prepare are paper lanterns, hot clue gun, cotton batting, string lights. Try to pull at the cotton batting and makes it look a bit like fluffy cloud. Hot glue it to the outside of the paper lantern. Lighten up the candles and stick them inside. Accent them with some string lights for additional brightness or some color change. Then just hang it in the place you wish. 

DIY Lighting in Bedroom
Add a bit touch of romance to your bedroom with the twinkling led string lights. It’s very easy and cost efficient to do this. Get a piece of fabric at the head of the bed so as to arrange the twinkle lights on them. The LED string lights consume less electricity and can work for many hours. Just choose the number of lights based on your preference in the brightness. Hang some of your pictures that can bring you a lot of memory with the clothes pins on the lights for better illumination. That’s easy but it will just make a big difference in the room lighting decor.
