Add Enough Mood Enhancing Lighting Home in Winter

Winter is here. It's a season that has a lot of amazing things waiting for us, the snow, the holiday seasons and the celebrations. We love the idea of spending such season surrounded by friends and family with warm atmosphere. In the winter, darkness time is more than daytime. Instead of waking up in the dark or going back home still in the dark, we love to be embraced by the warm glow from the decorative lights. Actually, prolonged exposure to the darkness in such cold season has a negative psychological effect on us. Then are you ready for adding more mood enhancing lights to your house.

We need the mood enhancing lights. We all know the great benefits of natural light. Yet, during the daytime, we may have very limited access to natural light due to office life. It’s hard to get long walks in the sun in the winter. Mood lights can give us the chance to enjoy more lights. Mood enhancing lighting imitates the bright rays of sunlight. It is known that the brightness of natural light can reach around 100,000 lux, yet the light inside during winter only measure at 100 lux. Though not possible to replicate the real thing, the mood enhancing light can offer us an intense 10,000 lux boost.

Mood enhancing light can help us a lot in fighting against any possible depression. We tend to be happier and more carefree in the climate with warmer temperatures. For example, we are much happier in summer than in winter. Our mood has much to do with our exposure to the natural light we get. It is also known that our exposure to natural light has something to do with how we eat. In the cold weather, we start to eat more yet reluctant to do more exercises. We wake up in the winter when it is still dark and we are back home from work at the time when it is all dark again outside. We spend our days in darkness or under harsh florescent light. Our body clock seems hard to get change to reset for the new day. We need mood lights in the morning and at night for helping us reset the internal clocks and get ready for the busy day ahead.
